Now that we’re in 2026, it’s interesting to look back at last year’s streetwear scene. Chicago was alive with creativity, and I noticed that oversized silhouettes and bold, contrasting colors were everywhere. It felt like everyone was leaning into a blend of casual comfort with unique statement pieces.

Layering also took center stage, with many outfits featuring a mix of textures and fabrics that created a sense of balance. I’m trying to adapt more of that into my own style, moving away from just my classic chic pieces to something that feels fresher and more playful. What trends did you all love in 2025? Are there any pieces from last year that you’re still rocking?

I loved the oversized look too! I picked up this huge graphic hoodie that I’m still wearing all the time. The layering with different textures was so fun; I paired a leather jacket over a flannel shirt and it made for a cool vibe. Definitely planning to keep rocking that style this year!

I really loved the retro graphic tees that blew up in 2025. They were everywhere and super easy to mix and match with different pants. I’ve still got a couple in rotation – they add a nice pop without much effort.
