Tips for Creating a Fragrance Wardrobe

Building a fragrance wardrobe can be really overwhelming with so many choices available. As someone who loves the clean-girl aesthetic, I often find myself caught between wanting fresh, light scents and deeper, more complex fragrances. I’m also trying to align my scent choices with the seasonal colors I wear.

I’m interested to hear how others approach this. Is there a strategy you use to select scents that match your outfits? What are some key fragrances that you find work well for different occasions? Looking forward to your thoughts!

I usually go for lighter scents in spring and summer, like a fresh citrus or floral, and switch to warmer, spicier scents in fall and winter. Mixing a couple of scents can also help match your vibe with the outfit—like a light floral with a cashmere sweater. Have you tried layering scents for different moods?

I think it’s easier to just stick to a couple of go-to scents that feel versatile rather than trying to match everything to your outfits. I have a nice citrus one for daytime and a deeper woodsy one for evenings and events. Keeps things simple and I always smell good without overthinking it!
