How do you choose your seasonal color palette?

With spring approaching here in San Diego, I’m trying to nail down a seasonal color palette that fits my clean-girl aesthetic while also being comfortable and practical. It can be overwhelming with so many colors to choose from, and I want to ensure whatever I pick works well with my existing wardrobe.

Has anyone found a good way to figure out which colors look best with their skin tone and style? I’ve come across numerous guides online, but many overlook comfort and fit. What strategies have you used to select seasonal colors? Any tips for effectively mixing and matching pieces?

I’ve been trying to narrow down my colors for spring too! I usually start with a few basics that I know look good, like soft pastels or neutrals, then see what pops in my closet. Trying on outfits in natural light helps a lot, and sometimes taking pics can show you what really works. Good luck with your palette!

I usually start by pulling a few of my favorite pieces from last season and seeing what colors I wear the most. Then I check if those colors seem to complement my skin tone with a quick selfie in natural light. Have you tried color draping with a few swatches to see what looks good together?
