How do you create an everyday fragrance wardrobe?

Choosing the right fragrance can be a challenge, especially when you’re trying to match scents to different moods and occasions. Living in Vancouver’s varied climate, I’ve been thinking about how to create a fragrance wardrobe that reflects my personal style while still being versatile. I love having a light and fresh scent for daytime, but I also want options for evenings out or cozy days at home.

I’ve been experimenting with layering different fragrances, but I’m still learning how to avoid combinations that are too overpowering. What strategies do you all use when curating your own fragrance collections? Do you tend to stick with specific scents for certain occasions, or do you mix and match based on your mood? I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and any tips you have!

I love the idea of layering, but I found sticking to lighter base notes helps with overpowering scents. For me, a clean citrus for daytime and a cozy vanilla for evenings works well. Have you tried using unscented lotion as a base? It can really help soften strong fragrances!

Layering can be tricky! I usually go for a clean, citrusy scent for daytime and save something warmer or spicier for evenings. One thing that works for me is to start with a base scent I love and then add a second one that complements it, like a soft floral or woody note. Also, keeping a small sample set of favorites helps to switch things up without committing too much.
